Warwick Davis Calls Return as Flitwick in HBO's Harry Potter a "Huge Honour"
Warwick Davis is opening up about his emotional return to the Wizarding World. Speaking to the Press Association, the actor discussed being asked to reprise his beloved role as Professor Filius Flitwick in HBO's upcoming "Harry Potter" TV series, calling it "a huge honour." Davis, who played the Charms professor across all eight original films, is the first cast member from the movies to rejoin the franchise on screen.
"This place is super familiar to me because I worked on the films for over 11 years, and I've worked constantly since then with the team at the studio tour in Watford as well," Davis said. "So Harry Potter has become part of my professional life since the late '90s throughout until now.
So it's a constant. It's fabulous." The HBO series, currently filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, is set to debut in 2027, with one season planned per book.
