Ben Saunders, First-Ever 'The Voice' Winner, Found Dead at 43
Ben Saunders, who won the debut season of The Voice of Holland in 2011, has been found dead at age 43.
His body was recovered from the Rijkerswoerdse Plassen, a recreational lake between Arnhem and Elst in the Netherlands, on Tuesday afternoon after he had been reported missing that morning.
Police confirmed foul play has been ruled out, though no official cause of death has been released.
Saunders' brother Dean, who won the reality show Popstars the same year, announced the news on Instagram, writing that his "dear little brother" had passed away.
Saunders, born in London, later ran a tattoo shop in Arnhem and was well known in the local biker community.
