Behind the Scenes: Anna Ferrer and Mario Cristóbal's Wedding Day Emotions
Anna Ferrer, daughter of Spanish comedian Paz Padilla, married her longtime partner Mario Cristóbal on Saturday, September 19, in a civil ceremony held at a seaside venue in El Palmar, Cádiz. The bride made an emotional entrance on her mother's arm, with groom Mario visibly moved to tears as he watched her walk down the aisle.
Paz Padilla, dressed in a turquoise gown with bat-wing sleeves, had promised her daughter she wouldn't spring any surprises during the ceremony.
Close friends of the couple delivered heartfelt speeches during the more than hour-long ceremony, which moved between laughter and tears. Over 100 guests attended, later enjoying a reception with 18 different appetizers.
Speaking to press afterward, Anna said the most special moment was hearing Mario's words spoken publicly, admitting the couple "cried a lot" throughout the emotional day.
